From memory I think it was taken out of circulation ( see below - excerpt taken from Wikipedia regarding video footage of the disaster) There is however still some footage on you tube.com but alas i don't know how you stand downloading that from a legal point view:-

"There was some controversy regarding the disaster in early 2007, when original TV news footage of the fire was illegally posted on the internet website YouTube. Copyright of the TV footage of that day's events is strictly controlled by Yorkshire Television and is only meant to be used for fire awareness training purposes. Following threats of legal action from Yorkshire Television, and considerable protest from Bradford City supporters' groups (with endorsement from the club itself), the footage was removed. The footage had also been posted on a second more sinister site where its presence had gone undectected until it was discovered by a bereaved survivor in April 2007. Similar action brought its immediate removal.

I use the first five minutes of this video in induction presentations to new staff.  Footage shows crowded stadium, police in attendance, stewards in position, cameras monitoring situation, easiest possible escape routes and yet 55 people died in less than an hour.  220 seriously injured and many more traumatised.

Dated but poignant.

If you havent obtained a copy it can be bought from Granada Television through their commercial sales dept. (cheap if for training purposes)

or get in touch for more details.

You required footage of the Bradford football stadium. I have this if you require it and will gladly email it to the you if required. You will need a broadband connection as its 140mb in
size. It shows approx 15 mins of footage.

Hi all, im new to this forum so hope ive got the right place. I do some voluntary fire awareness training, general stuff, but i am finding that all therelevant training dvds are stupid money. Feel as though companies are making the most out of the safety market, but, surely saving lives and injuries should be more important. I simply cannot afford to pay these prices, can anyone give me any ideas as to where i will be able to get these at a price i can afford.

cheers all
ian

The FPA Room fire DVD now has room fires 1 & 2 on the disc, Room Fire 1 has the sofa although, pre 88 reg's standard, Room Fire 2 shows the effect the reg's have had.

The 'Office Fire' only available on video!?! shows a faster fire growth.
