Compressed Air Foam Systems - Fire Behaviour Training

As a trainer involved in Fire Behaviour and the development of aggressive use of PPV, I am interested to know if anyone has any theories of using CAFS in compartment fires. We have played with the system in compartment fires with great success. Anyone else tried it??

CAFS has obvious advantages in rural and remote settings. In compartment fires have you considered the potential for hose kinking, due to low pressure/flow in the line, that might restrict flow to the nozzle?

Hi
I have used the system recently and impressed at the results

we put out a car fire using half a litre of foam amd 37 litres of water!!

huge environmental benifts to be had using CAFFS.

We are using the system on our small fires unit
