I am looking for some fire data. I believe the LFB have a fire database, is this available for public viewing, are there any other similar databases. I am particulary interested in fires in large public assembly buildings.

Presumably you have seen the recently-published 2002 UK Fire Statistics from the ODPM website?

When I asked (back in the Past) for access to, or information from, the Fire Authorities' own data, the request was declined - although a helpful senior officer from the local brigade would make summary reports to a committee. It would be interesting to hear whether things have now changed in this respect.

ODPM collate all these stats. If their published reports are not enough for you and you have a bona fide reason fro needing more detail you could try contacting ODPM.
