Wireless/radio linked alarm systems
« on: January 20, 2011, 09:55:29 AM »
Hi

Does anyone know of any manufacturers of these systems, other than Ei Electronics?

I am looking to install this type of system in several hundred properties, with between 8 and 24 units per property.

Thanks

I guess a google search will reveal a number of sources, many use radio bases on conventional mains powered smoke / heat alarms.

Just a thought-  consider what you want to achieve against the number of channels available - if these are to be stand alone groups of say 3 alarms per flat, in a large block is there a risk that one persons alarm will be on the same channel as anothers?

DaVincey

Are you just looking for wireless systems such as EMS or are you looking to link panels wirelessly?
We have both, but the max range seems to be about 800m, a survey is required first ;D
