Title: Case law in fire safety issues
Post by: bevfs on June 01, 2018, 02:01:16 PM
hi all,
does anyone know if there is a dedicated website or information available on all
determinations and case law with reference to the RRFSO and fire safety in general? looking to get a clear legal definition on  fire safety matters, rather than personnel opinions (which determined on who the  orator is sometimes can be complete ....,  but  seem  very convincing) ???

Re: determinations - government website:

A Google search will reveal much commentary on cases, duties etc, but beware - much of it is wrong in strict legal terms (e.g. descriptions of who might be the 'Responsible Person' are commonly incorrect).  There are legal firms that specialise in fire safety law (I forget the names - Probyn Miers is one I've seen recently) and their blogs are worth reading.
