Title: High speed vertical doors across escape routes
Post by: Crusher on July 14, 2022, 12:41:43 PM
I'm struggling to find specific guidance on the use of high speed vertical roller doors across escape routes.

Has anyone come across this issue yet? If so I would be keen to know the outcome.

Thank you.

No, as they've always had a pedestrian exit adjacent or close by for normal as well as emergency use as often high speed door routes (from those I've seen) are for vehicles/FLT's only. Was this a retrofit to an older exit that had traditional doors/shutters?

Hi there. It's in a factory. There are two, both without bypass doors. I think they had roller doors with wicket gates, but use forklifts now. It feels wrong, but only with a small 'w', if that makes sense.
