Interesting article on Watchdog Test House today (Episode 14) about domestic detectors and how they are tested by BSI.

On Iplayer, start and end of program.

Thanks for posting that. Bought back memories of testing detectors at Fire Research in my early days there. Bit surprised they went to BSI at Hemel Hempstead as I thought BRE had similar facilities on site at Garston.....

Ah those were the days, Jock.  It was never to be the same again after they split JFRO into FRS and FIRTO.
