Hello All

I have a corridor that has a number of latern lights installed that are slightly over 800mm in depth. If i install AFD in the lights,is it acceptable to use them as the corridor AFD coverage without any on the ceiling and how does that effect their spacings?

Thank you

Graeme

Should be fine. Normal spacings would apply.

So, from some discussion way back, was there not a 'decision' as to thermal heat from lamps potentially stopping the smoke from entering and activating the detector?

i might be picking you up wrong but i was meaning skylights.

a lantern light is a particular kind of skylight.

A bit like a little greenhouse sitting on the roof (correct me if I'm wrong)

Often found above stages in theatres - used as a smoke vent behind the safety curtain
