I'm a former US Air Force firefighter, and have been interested in researching information on awards given to military fire fighters. I found a reference about the UK Army Fire Brigade or Army Fire Service and operations in Cyprus. I know in the USAF we were often assigned to combat areas, and received the appropriate service medals. Can anyone tell me what the Army Fire Service activities and operations were in Cyprus?
