Hi Guys, has anyone read this or commented on it either in passing or in committee? I ask because although it has gone past the dates for comment I am not sure, and I cannot see where it sits or fits in with the likes of 5839 and other standards. Its the first I have really heard of it and at first reading its like going back in time. Why on earth would we want a dedicated detector system for hold open systems for fire doors, that is seperate from the overall detection system in a building, which does not sound the alarm just closes the doors, and has to have seperate power supplies from the door hold open and the overall detection system. Also it needs specific detector placement including 'lintel' detectors!??
