Underground Houses!!!

Has anyone any experience of Arrangments for Underground Houses ( no its not a joke).  

I have been asked to undertake a project as Building Control, as you would expect, have a number of issues with smoke logging and rate of extraction not to mention MOE etc.

If anyone has any experience of a similar natured project I would be interested to hear.
