Title: Queries from the public
Post by: kurnal on April 01, 2012, 10:54:47 PM
Our forums are generally used by people in the fire industry with a passion for the job. Because of this our  responses can from time to time be a little intimidating. We do get excited about things which can put people off asking for advice if they are unsure of their ground.
So this thread has been created with a promise that we will be patient and gentle or otherwise keep our counsel.
Please feel free to ask any fire related questions here.

My question is why has no-one taken up this offer, to date?

Please dont' tell me off for not knowing the answer :)

Is it just because 'everyone is an expert these days', or is it because Prof. Kurnal posted his offer on 1st April?

I think it is because you have to be a member to post on the forum and for a casual question its too much hassle or too slow. I would like to set this thread as accessible to vistors to post but last time I tried to fiddle with access levels I crashed the site and haven't dared try again.

I think you are right Kurnal when I got rid of my website to safelincs they added a forum http://www.safelincs-forum.co.uk/ and you do not need to be a member to post but having said that the responses are limited. (Just over the thousand in just over twelve months.)
