Title: RRO and supported living
Post by: Fire Monkey on July 19, 2016, 03:06:17 PM
Hello,

Following on from the report in May Issues of IFP - Higher Risk Accommodation - can any point me in the direction of further information or discussion on this? I am (slightly) involved in a potential new vulnerable adult supported living project and want to be sure on if the RRO applies or not and even if not what considerations should be taken from it to promote best practice taking into account how other such buildings have been designed. A key point would to decide upon the classification - Sheltered Housing 2b - shared or individual, or perhaps Care Home type 1c or 2b. Obviously I can't show plans on this site but rough thoughts would be welcome or perhaps information on a recently built similar developments (fire strategies, compartmentalisation and detection etc).

Thanks,
