Notifier fire phone question
« on: April 02, 2008, 04:18:37 PM »
We have a Fire Dept. requesting a "hands free" type of communicator, to be used in the fire control room, instead of the typical handset, that comes with the system.  Notifier tech support advised that the system is designed to only work with Notifier peripherals.  But, I have a feeling that there is something out there that will work.  Does anyone have any experience with a particular solution to this problem?  Has anyone ever connected a type of headset to the Notifier fire phone system, and had it work?  The system that is installed is an NFS2-3030 with the DVC.

I worked on ungrading a Fire Control room. What we did there was as opposed to using an expensive call collection system we used a standard telephone exchange as used in most offices with a few tweeks by the supplier. As such this would work with a standard hands free head set.
