Gent Help

Does anyone know of any company in the UK that will to train an engineer to work on Gent equipment in for sites in Ireland, and supply the necessary software and licence. We would be willing to pay for this training and software, and carry out all works by the book. There is only one company in Ireland doing Gent, but our clients are not inclined to use them on the couple of Gent sites we have in our books for servicing. Our engineers are trained in all leading market systems, and some are ex-Gent engineers. It was okay a few years back when there was more than one supplier in the country we could turn to, but the market place is restricted now. I would appreciate any advise in this.

The only way you will get all that is to become a Gent SI, for which you need to turnover a set amount. Non SI's have a limited amount that they can do on a system and it's very easy to mess them up on the programming side unless very familiar with it.

G4S are the only SI both sides of the border, you could try a UK based SI to fly a guy over to do the advanced stuff for you but I'd be surprised if any SI would risk their registration with Gent by letting any of the software side stuff out.

On checking the Gent website there appear to be 3 Gent 24 SIs in Ireland?

That's weird, when I looked I could only find the G4S depot in Northern Ireland and G4S's Irish Republic set up (but the website was playing up and only showed them) but tonight found all these:
