Deluge installation on Sprinkler systems
« on: September 02, 2005, 08:59:04 AM »
Can anyone tell me if an additional 'deluge' system is extended from a wet or dry  sprinkler system?
Have been looking through BS5306 - 2 1990. 6.9 covers deluge, but doesnt state which main type of system it is fed from.

A deluge system is, as Colin says, very different. There is an array of open heads. Water is controlled by some form of valve (manual or auto) and lots of water is involved.

I suppose you could uprate the water supply to a sprinkler system to feed a deluge but this will involve sums.
