Hi, guys
I want to design a fire alarm control panel.
So far, i want to investigate in fault detection of the detectors.
Every detector zone will end with a line resistor.
I would like to know how i could detect the failure or removal of the detectors through this particular resistor.
Thanks a lot.

you are better designing one to montior with an end of line capacitor or active end of line module to give you a compliant head removal system incorporating diode detector bases.
End of line resistor systems would need normally a 4k7 or 6k8 ohm resistor.
The mcp,s should have a 470-680 ohm resistor in series.
Every system should be short=fault. open or high resistance=fault
470-680 ohms = fire condition from a mcp.
