I have a site which the fire strategy states that none of the corridors are longer than the recommended limits (ie 7.5Mtr) however on at least 3 of the floors the length is actually 12.5mtr - there is an AOV in the corridor, there are only 6 flats leading out onto the common parts corridor & the area has an AOV as well.
Does the AOV mitigate the length of the corridor ? If not what would be best to recommend I was thinking to suggest they install corridor doors to break the length

I assume we are talking residential flats here?
I don't feel that an AVO alone would not be adequate compensation for the extended distance, certainly not without some further analysis. In a multi stair building AOVs are required on dead ends of 7.5 meters anyway.
BS 9991 would allow 15 meter dead ends if the building was sprinkler protected.
