Due to a fire at our offices which house the equipment that runs fire net, and the cost of buying new equipment, I am sorry to report, that at the end of the week we will need to shut down FireNet.

This mistake is primarily my own, I should have arranged the necessary insurance, but I just didn't know where to buy it from.  I have resigned as forum admin with immediate effect.

It has been fun swapping stories with you all over the years and trust that many of us will remain friends in the years to come.

Thank you and goodbye.

Rabbit,Rabbit,Rabbit.............. and some more.
All my responses only apply to England and Wales and they are an overview of the subject, hopefully it will point you in the right direction and always treat with caution.

A fire at Fire Net...........Interesting (if ever so slightly careless).

First may I be the one to say: Good luck in your future endeavours.
Of course we'll all miss you and the site. But **it happens.

As I am looking to expand my boards, can I have the website name.
Perhaps I can have my joining fee refunded ASAP.
Rather than my joining fee, can I just have the standard £500 cheque as severance.
Is it possible to make that cash instead of cheque.
Losing stuff in the post will only annoy me, send me your address and I'll get it picked it up

:)

Ha Ha, I tried a similar one on the missus, I went out at 22:00 hrs on Sunday 30th March, telling her I was putting the bins out, I came home at 11:30 hrs on Tuesday 1st of April, dishevelled, slightly wobbly and covered in lipstick marks and said "April Fool honey".....she hit me......Rabbits doh!!!

I do that every friday night

Might I say that was a terrible trick to play on your loved one!

Its nearly as bad as the time I recorded the national lottery, bought a ticket to match the winning numbers from that show then played the recorded version the next saturday night and my wife thought we'd won

She obviously wasnt too amused when she found out it was a hoax. but even a month in the dog house was worth it. The two days in hospital wasnt however.
