Title: Royal Berkshire????
Post by: Andy Cole on March 24, 2006, 10:29:32 PM
I am going to do my fitness tests for RBFRS in April but can't find anywhere what the requirements are for the bleep test/shuttle run, I know some services are to reach level 8.4 some are 9.6 and some have got rid of it all together! I was just wondering if there was anyone out there who might be able to help??

I can only speak from experience from another FRS where the level required was 9.6. However under the new Trainee Testing Procedures there is no bleep test, so why are Berkshire asking people to complete one.

I would suggest you ring them and ask them what the requirement is. Seems strange they did not inform you when you were asked to attend.

They have said that because they didn't have the final details on the new tests they are still using the old style tests, I will definitley have to do the bleep test I've been told that much, I'm just not sure which level I have to get!
In my experience the level is usually 9.6 but can also be 8.4 (as it is with my own brigade)
Thanks for the response!
Andy.
