Title: Evacuation Modelling
Post by: Rocha on April 10, 2006, 02:21:37 PM
Does anyone know of any fire evacuation modelling packages or software available for purchase.

I am aware of STEPS (Mott Macdonald) and Building Exodus (Fire Safety Engineering Group) but am not sure what others are available.

SOA (http://www.soaltd.co.uk) have recently developed and successfully used EvaQ8 (http://www.soaltd.com/soa/Products/EvaQ8).   EvaQ8 (http://www.soaltd.com/soa/Products/EvaQ8) is a new evacuation simulation (http://www.soaltd.com/soa/Products/EvaQ8) model that represents the premises using a relationship modeling approach.  Each component is either a compartment or an exit.  These components have a number of optional and mandatory parameters that can be altered before or during the simulation.  Currently version 2 is being developed by SOA Associates (http://www.soaltd.co.uk) to provide a cleaner user interface, with additional analytical features.

For further information please goto http://www.soaltd.co.uk/soa/Products/EvaQ8or contact me using the email on the left.

We don't normally allow advertising, but as this seems like a genuine responce to an enquiry, I'll let it pass.

A quick internet search suggests that the correct address might be:
