Title: Storage of flammable substances
Post by: Rocha on May 09, 2006, 05:35:05 PM
Are flammable gas sprays and cans, for example thinners and cleaning sprays required to be stored in a flammable storage cabinet??

Or are they adequately stored if away from sources of igntion in a well ventilated store room.

Rocha, the answer is probably no; however, I guess it is down to the risk assessor who may well introduce his/her own conditions. I believe that in many DIY stores the quantities are now dangerously high. Indeed, other countries e.g Sweden have, I understand, a far stricter regime for substances such as white spirit.
