are people applying the 'guides' regarding AFD
ie GRADE A LD2 or GRADE D LD2 or 3

Further question are all the guides very very similar?

One size fits all.

Obviously there is no need for specialised guides for hospitals and care homes. I can't wait for the other guides to come available, just to see the different front cover.

Post by: jokar on July 24, 2006, 08:45:12 PM: Larger risk HMO's of 3 or more storeys occupied by 5 or more people. Local Authorities can extend this subject to consultation. Section 254 of the Act gives definitions of an HMO which are different from those known before and include converted buildingsand residential flats.

As regards the guides, all very similar, but do not get caught out, some interesting word changes particular around basements in differing guides.

when you say there is "obviously" no need for guides to Care Homes and Hospitals did you forget that 15 people died in Rosepark and there seemed an "obvious" need for better guidance than HTM84 or in that case SHTM84. The Scotish Executive brought out new guidance and I thought there was going to be E & W Guidance on Res care Homes baseed on that.
