I believe the matter is now sub judice (sp?) and has been kicked into the long grass until 2007-2008.
There has got to be a better way of making public any lessons learned without having to wait for our learned friends to bring a case to Court.

The lessons learned have been made very public in Scotland and The Scottish Executive has acted by making a requirement for sprinklers to be fitted in all new Res Care homes. This has been incorporated in the Technical Standards.

Another fine example of the scottish 'common sence approach'.  If E&W could follow suit.

What a lot of tosh- the scots did this for purely political reasons.

Sprinklers may or may not be the best solution but this had nothing to do with the change to the tech standards.
