Title: Access codes
Post by: PhilW on October 06, 2006, 03:12:59 PM
Hi there im new to the forum and was wanting to ask has anyone worked on a BOSCH BZ500 LSN panel. One of our engineers has a maintanance light on and also alot of letters and number on the LCD. I have downloaded manuals from their web site however there is nothing in them regarding codes. He seems to think that he needs a level 2 access code to clear the display. The system is fuctioning fine its just the customer keeps calling it in as a fault.. Anyone any ideas of a default code???

Bosch only make panels for Europe, they don't sell in Britain (if that makes any kind of sense) according to their rep I met last week at the Norbain show anyway.

Apart from that, I can only suggest you ring them.....

Britain is part of Europe.

That's why I said "if that makes any sense", The Bosch rep told me they make panels for Europe but don't sell them in England.....??!!

He said it was because they don't comply with BS, eg the old nugget about zone lamps etc.

To be honest I'm still not clear myself, if we spec a "Euro" panel on a job, can we be pulled of for not complying to BS.

Conversely do consultants have the right to spec a 5839 system anymore ??
