Title: Looking for Help with Fire Risk Assessments
Post by: Vin Maher on October 11, 2006, 02:08:51 PM
Hello all

I posted a message a couple of weeks ago asking for any one who might be interested in carrying out Fire Risk Assessments.

There was no response at all which I found surprising. Any one any ideas why there's no interest in earning some extra cash?

Thanks

Vin

are you interested in employing staff who are operational firefighters as well as fire safety staff?

My brother lives in Doncaster and works for South Yorks Fire & Rescue Service and is looking for some work, I work for Notts Fire & Rescue Service and I am in a similar position.

We are both operational firefighters

Is employing serving firefighters not a conflict of interest ? how can some one prepare a fire risk assessment then possibly be required to audit the same document and possibly have to take some action

Most fire services say it is ok as long as it is not in their own area of enforcement
