Title: Heathrow's new control tower
Post by: messy on October 15, 2006, 09:49:22 PM
Does anyone know of any articles about the fire protection systems at Heathrow's new control tower? It's a unique cable stayed single staircase 'building', some 87m high, with obvious evacuation difficulties.

I've done a google search with no success

No real reason. I'm just curious/nosey!

There are two lifts (one internal and one external) so maybe the evacuation strategy involves the use of escape lifts?
