I was told the other day that LFB firefighters get discounted rail travel to get them into the city, Ive not heard of this before but would be nice if it was true? I know there are a few LFB Ffs on this forum.

Sorry. Definately not true. I do it every day and pay the full price.

The only concession is for those who drive through/pay the central area congestion charge, (including standbys) who can apply for a rebate (LFB Management feared an exodus of FFs from c London if they FFs to pay the CC)

But no help with fares I'm afraid - That ended many moons ago!!!!
