Title: Beds on Station - Shift Rosters
Post by: nzfirey on November 13, 2006, 06:06:57 PM
Hello, just wondering if anyone can tell me if they have had the beds removed from station  and they no longer sleep on night shift?

The Dept I work for (in New Zealand) say that a number of British Fire Depts have adopted a 2d/2n 4 off 12 hour shift roster which has the crews awake all night, hence no beds on station.

Can anyone shed any light on this for me please, they are trying to adopt that at my Dept so any help offered would be appreciated, Cheers,
