I'm dancing around the idea of putting together an extraction team to compete in the competitions. Does anyone have information on where I can get details of the rules, dates, equipment required etc, etc, etc.................................................

http://www.ukro.org/main.htm
Took me 20 seconds to find using a google search. Hope your search and rescue techniques are better.

As a simple fire alarm wizard, I am intrigued.
What is extracation?
I have looked the spelling up in an English and also an American English dictionary and they both say there is no such word.
Please enlighten me.

When you cut someone out of a car you 'Extricate' them, that is my understanding of it!.

Huh! I note the spelling has been subsequently edited in an earlier post from extracation to Extricaton. This makes my last post enquiry seem like I was having a dig at the person, who originally used the word extracation, for poor spelling. This was not the case. I really thought there may have been a special 'brigade' term for a different way of doing something, and I was just interested in finding out what it was.
