Post by: bravo9/1 on January 24, 2007, 06:56:54 PM
Looking to purchase an up to date dvd on fire safety in the workplace for staff training sessions
Got the FPAs DVD Managing Fire Safety already but would like to bring training up to date.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

The BRE video "The office fire" is the best illustration of a real fire scenario I have seen. The nature and growth of a fire are brilliantly shown and it runs from ignition to flashover in 4 minutes, with no commentary for 3 minutes so you can educate and explain whilst it runs.

You could try having a look at the Safety Media DVDs (on approval) to see if there's anything there of interest.

Agree with Redone, the BRE 'Office Fire' is a great DVD. The initial silent real time sequence allows you set the scene and discuss what is being seen or just let the event unfold. I have found this DVD to have high impact, and lasting impressions.
