The new Draft British Standard for the release of Door holders is BS7273-4 Actuation of release mechanisms for doors.
Consultatation closed 31st Dec 2006.

Hi, the new standard BS7273 part 4 deals with the interface to fire control systems and the connection of devices such as door retainers.
the standard covering the perfomance of the door retaining mechanism itself is BS EN 1155. My product was tested to this standard by Warrington Fire APT.
