Heres a quote from BB100
Door closing devices should not have an opening moment in excess of the
following values unless the doors are held open on electro-magnetic hold-open
devices:
infants and juniors ≤ [10] years and disabled - (36) Nm
pupils ≥ [10] years - (47) Nm
Anyone know where they are coming from on this one with the magetic hold open device?
If a child cannot be expected to open a door under normal conditions is it not likely to impede escape in a fire when the magnet has released?

Is it not likely that under normal operating conditions, children will open doors on there own whilst under evacuation conditions there will be a staff member with them leading the way out and the train of children will keep the door open. Values are obviously set from part M but vcan not be set as a generic as each set of circumstances will differ.
