Can someone point me to the part of ADB that suggests that self closers on internal fire doors are no longer required?
In addition a BCO intimated recently that this is allowable when increased AFD is applied to habitable rooms where the closers are removed. Again can someone point me in the direction of that reference as the BCO couldn't!.

You need ADB 2007 Volume 1 Dwelling Houses, Closers are still required to an integral garage
The document can be downloaded from the Communities web site

Appendix B of ADB Volume 2 - Gives gudiance on fire doors within flats, paragraph 2 is the guidance you require!!!

I think he may be looking for where it says you dont need them. Of course it doesnt do that anywhere (other than in the inside cover where it highlights changes). What it does say is where you do need them.
It doesnt tell you where you dont need banana flavour door handles either!

Wee Brian,
In appendix B para 2 is does state that internal self closers within flats are no longer required!! You may want to have a look.
