Title: Furniture regs
Post by: Big T on July 26, 2007, 04:26:32 PM
In an old folks home do we have to replace all of the furniture that doesn't comply to the furniture regs? What kind of time scale do we have?

My view is replace it with new stuff when its broken or we refurb the building, but other than that, no smoking policy, sensible distance from direct heat sources reduces the risk as far as possible doesn't it?

Depends on the ammount of furniture to be replaced - if it's minimal I'd want it replaced PDQ

If there is absolutely loads of it I'd suggest upgrading the furniture as you pointed out when it has become broken or in need of repair.
