I recently had a question on this subject, "All I need to know is what the minimum distance from the bottom of the door to the floor finish. I found three fire doors in our building have a gap of more than 30mm between the floor finish and the bottom of the door"?
It is not difficult to find guidance on the gap tolerance between the door leaf and the door frame but not for the gap between the door leaf and the floor and is 30mm acceptable?

BS 8214 :1990 page 25 para 19.7 states clearly 8mm for FD30 as large gaps are a potential route for the spread of cold smoke.
It suggests threshold smoke seals, though with a gap so big I would go for timber, glued on with FR rated glue
