Thanks Ricky interesting to note that it does not specify heat or smoke detection in the bedrooms.

Hi Phil

Yes I noticed that in the guide for larger premises such as hotels, but the other guide for smaller premises such as guest houses does in Chapter 10, Item 197.

Mhhh, not sure Phil I will make enquiries with the producers of the guides and pose that very question, as I can see it causing all sorts of problems as we here will be insisting of smoke detectors in bedrooms, regardless, thats what our leaders will insist on, ( so much for allowing the person with responsibilities to conduct a FRA) and decide.
