Anyone here involved in the transition of RAF St Mawgan to Cornwall Newquay Airport? If so hows it going and what level are the civilian services at?

Although I am not directly involved, I have several friends who are stationed at St Mawgan. Most of the resident firefighters are ex RAF Fire Service or RN (AH) branch and have transitioned from service life to Contractor, to DFS and are finally becoming airport firefighters. As far as I am able to determine the transition has been quite smooth, with only very minor contractual problems.

Bridging courses commence tommorrow for some of the firefighters transferring to Cornwall Airports Limited (CAL). Two weeks at IFTC Teeside.
