Guys,

Does anyone know if the rules (BS) on Sounder Frequency applies to Radio Fire Alarms?

As you are no doubt aware the BS5839 has just 4 pages regarding radio alarms, the BS dates back to 2002 and the technology has advanced considerably since then. But my interpretation is that the general principles regarding the design and installation  of conventional alarms hold equally true for radio linked alarms unless there is good reason to vary it.

Sounder frequency in BS5839 part applies to all BS5839 part 1 fire alarms!

Daren,

Do you mean the frequency produced by a fire alarm sounder as a warning tone or the operating frequency of wireless signals between the fire alarm sounders and the cie?

When you mention BS, do you mean BS5839 Part 1 2002 or some other BS relating to operating frequencies suitable for wireless signalling systems?

I'm guessing that you mean the frequency produced by a fire alarm sounder as a warning tone and therefore the recommendations of clause 16.2.1 b) of BS5839 Part 1 2002 will apply.
