One for the fire alarm gurus

Are magnetic hold open devices for fire resisting self closing doors, or swing free arm devices? capable of being connected to Grade A, B or C system of a Part 6 detection installation, similar to what a Part 1 system can cope with.

Not sure about the wired in devices, but there's always the acoustic hold opens (Dorgard) that would work depending on the application

As long as the detctor coverage is ok then theres no problem connecting door magnets to grades a,b or c systems. It would also be posible to connect a door magnet to a grade d system by using a relay base.

(Dorgard) if you use these make sure that the sound pessure levels will be compliant to trigger them, I have been to numerous installations where they were quite happy to stay open through no fault of there own !
