I had couple of times serviced Morley system ZXe, this one is a bit different in its config, when setting the zones in test mode, and carried on with the testing, after 1/2 hour the system reset itself back to normal, and suddenly when tested one call point alarm went off normally.
When I went back to the panel, I found the display and showing healthy none of the zones in remained test mode.
My simple enquiry is that can Morley system be configured to reset itself after half hour if no testing carried out?
If yes!
How to configure it back to normal by means, the test mode can be taken off manually only?
Thank you

Also each time I wanted to contact Morley technical support, they were at lunch time or busy! I hope to get them one day

I'd say most of their tech support is out to lunch most times!!
Morleys do come out of walk test after around half an hour normally.

Do you mean all Morley panels, without someone has changed some settings...?
Is there any way to re-instate the setting back to normal by means test mode could be taken out only manually?

No,this would be by special request for a specific customer and is a core programming issue.
I don't agree with manual exit from a walk test because it is easy to forget if you get distracted.

Today I have serviced a network of six Morley panels ZXe, I had left the systems for more than 45mn whitout testing and they did not reset them selves from test mode, note that these panels are fitted on 1999, probably only the latest morleys does reset from test mode!
But the one I have serviced two weeks ago did reset after 1/2 hour.
What do you think?

I think I'm starting to doubt myself now - econd opinion needed!!

Benz, Buzzard
I look after quite a few morleys and have not experienced panels coming out of test on their own. I have experienced people pressing reset though and this can, I believe take you out of test mode.

it doesn't, but if someone presses the "X" or "no" key it immediately removes it from test mode.
i disable sounders and relays when testing to stop this happenning.

Thanks Monkeh, I knew it was one of those keys that did it...
I have been caught like that before...
