Title: Dead End Travel

In the typical scenario where you have dead end corridor with offices off the corridor, if the travel distance can be met by the furthest office to a final or storey exit, is there still a need to have smoke detection or make the corridor FR?

Yes you will either have to protect the corridor of install AFD in this situation.

If a fire was in an office near to the exit, it would comprimise the exit for other room users.
