Title: Avon Fire - Anyone heard?

As above, applied recently and took the written tests on the 27th Feb.

According to their timetable the Physicals start Monday 17th to the end of the month.

I take it they have to let you know whether you have benn successful or not?

Hi,

Yeh heard off Avon yesterday and was succesful with the written tests, i have my practical now on the 27th!!

have you heard today?

Unfortunatley unsuccessful, I thought I had done well in the tests.

The feedback was rubbish, it didn't actually get to the point.

It also assumed your were of a certain type of person, impressive considering they don't know me.

I still believe its a lottery.

Biggest Irony...... Just passed a compentancy test in the Retained.

Sorry to hear that yours was unsuccesful! But good luck with your retained application, you wont regret going retained, ive been doing it for the past four years, and i absolutly love it! What brigade is that with?

I have been retained for about 18 months now and absolutley love it.

I have just gone through my Stage A review in Wiltshire.
