During March I sent an email expressing my interest in the Group/Stn Managers posts. Had an email back saying my details had been passed on to the relavent person. Anyone heard anything further, or had experience of working in the UAE?

i had a reply saying thnx but no thnx. we will keep your CV on file as we will recruit again in the future

yeah shane i had the same reply.

I know a large amount of people who applied for a variety of the posts. All had good skills and up to date CV's mostly with RAF Fire Service backgrounds. All received the same email stating 'thanks but no thanks!' Not too sure what is going on here? Were there actually any jobs in the first place?

i must admit it does seem a little strange to me

Its an RAF exercise in downsizing fire fighters, those that submitted CV's will now get really crap appraisals and be made redundant.....are any of you paranoid now........

I have heard of some people that got sent for interviews and also of people that were sent over for interviews. So there was jobs available. think interviews in this country were in london.
