Jeez this thing is big, god help us all if it ever goes down a bit quicker than it's designed to do. Anyway here is a 'fire service' vantage point for its first flight.

this mite be a daft question but why was the fire engine spraying water on the plane?
-
It's just traditional, the fire service salute the first inaugural flight of a new aircraft or the last flight of a retiring pilot.

dont know what the fuss is all about she's only a titch !

That's a disappointment. I thought the firemen had hit on another moneyspinner to supplement their meagre wages - An aeroplane wash! In my imagination the film was just showing the initial part of the plane-wash process, and that actually just a bit down the tarmc there would have been dozens of firemen with soapy sponges standing on ladders at different heights! Shame.

Jeez wiz, shut up, the management might read this and implement it. :(
-
It's not the spraying down which would be an issue with me, it's the leathering off afterwards!!!

Don't think they make a chamois big enough. :0

kill a few nearby cows it will be fine
Just makes sure they haven't got foot and mouth or BSE cos that may make the bird a bit tetchy in flight
