I'm a new member on here. I am wondering whether anyone can confirm if the Fire Precautions (Sub-surface Railway Stations) Regulations 1989 have been replaced with the RRO or is the debate still ongoing as it was sometime ago?
-
The RRO will detail the legislation it is replacing. If it isn't listed then it isn't replaced, by the RRO anyway.
-
Sub surface Regs are still there and are enforced as if they were made under the fire safety order, which of course they weren't.
-
Thanks both of you for that. And no I didnt think of looking in the RRO to see if the Sub surface regs were listed!!

I've been led to believe that the SS Regs will still exist but instead of being the 'Section 12 (FPA) regs, they will be the Article 24 (FSO) Regs.

The very prescriptive S12 regs are still with us but are in the process of being risk modelled.

Thats great. So obviously at present the RRO and SS regs apply.
