Could any one tell me what, if any, legislation covers fire safety precautions in Police stations?

They are the same as everywhere else.  The Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations is the main one.

Fire PRecautions Act applies as well where the offices are big enough

The Building Regs apply too. But the Met have their own building control Dept in house.
