Title: Vesda Laser Scanner Error type 16
Post by: Alberta on May 06, 2008, 06:54:00 PM
I am currently commissioning a Vesda Laser Scanner which was moved from one room to another.  A new pipe design with new sampling points was installed.  Although the Vesda Laser Scanner was in order before it was moved, it is now giving error type 16: Relays not found on the programmer status menu of the DISP/RLY.  I have changed both the Relays board and the front panel board but the problem persists.  I have noticed that the relay test on the Detector menu is OK, however will fail if relays are tested through the DISP/RLY diagnostics menu.  There are no errors on the Status menu of the Detector or the Pgmr.  The supply of the Vesda is 24Vdc 1amp coming from the ECP fire panel.  The LEDs on the front panel are flashing the ZONE and the URGENT simultaneously.   It is also beeping the buzzer at intervals.  The isolate (relay 1) VFCO seems to respond to its corresponding button on the front panel or from the programmer.  Does anyone knows what might be the problem please.  Thank you.

just out of interest, if you are getting the 24v direct from the fire panel, you must have some impressive standby batteries installed.....?

Was the display/programmer looking for a relay card other than the standard one assigned to the detector?
