Title: Hose reels in a old hotel
Post by: stewbow on May 18, 2008, 07:22:51 PM
Just wondering what people's opinions are regarding hose reels in an old victorian hotel. 63 bedrooms, 5 floors including the basement, one on each floor through the centre of the building.
From a risk assessment point of view, are they more of a hinderance than a help?

Ditto, best to phase out - see the previous thread for detail.

The only time I've not been able to remove reels is when they had been included on the listed buildings schedule for a site (they had been in over 60 years) they were drained, signed as out of use & had extinguishers, but had to stay
