Title: Stencil for Fire Engineering Drawings
Post by: Huw George on July 04, 2008, 12:11:34 PM
Does any one know where I can get my hands on a stencil for fire symbols? I've tried the obvious Staples WH Smith etc.

Many Thanks

Huw

Huwg  Which symbols do you require BS 1635:1990 or BS 1635: 1970.

Further info on the standards go to http://www.firesafe.org.uk/html/miscellaneous/fssymbol.htm

The symbol for water extinguisher,

1. A reversed triangle with a W inside and a number indicating the contents (1970)
2. Or is it a triangle with a circle inside and a vertical line inside the circle. (1990)

If it is the 1970 version then I have a stencil you can have, just email me. Check out the link I provided in my last posting and you should be able to decide.
